With a heart full of fond memories, we celebrate the life of Wallace Wendell Davis, who peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on April 21, 2024. Born on December 19, 1940, in Dothan, Alabama, Wallace was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, caring brother, and a friend to many.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Landmark Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Slocomb. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM at Landmark Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted.
Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, Webster Davis and Dovie Lewis Davis; a grandson, Anthony Sherlock; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Davis; two daughters, Jennifer Davis and Wendy Neil (Joel); his sisters, Judy Snider, Katereen Thomas, and Ann Walker (Jerry); a brother, Jo Davis; grandchildren, Jeremy Davis, Seth Neil, and Sam Neil; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wallace's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish and successfully run Quality Floors and Interiors for six decades, laying down foundations stronger than the floors he installed. His roots in Landmark Baptist Church were as deep as his love for the community he was a part of for so long. Family and friends will fondly remember Wallace for his handy and faith-filled nature.
